Patagonia’s new clothing label shows “Vote for a-holes out”

The retailer affixed a new clothing label on the back of the shorts with the words “vote for what is in the hole” to fight climate change.
The founder of Patagonia, Yvon Chouinard, used this slogan when referring to politicians who deny climate change. The new label can be found in Patagonia’s 2020 Road to Recycled Organic Standing Shorts for Men and Women.
“Yvon Chouinard has been saying’vote veto’ for years. This means that politicians of any political party deny or ignore the climate crisis and ignore science, not because they don’t understand science, but because they’re in their pockets. Full of money from oil and gas interests.” Patagonia spokesperson Tessa Byars said.
After Twitter user @CoreyCiorciari posted a photo with a shorts tag on September 11, Patagonia’s political tags became popular.
